metal headbands with Fabric Flowers

As promised, here are the metal headbands with the fabric flowers! Again, these are just regular headbands, they don't go all the way around your head... What do you think?

Craft Blog

A few of my friends have been telling me that I should do my own craft blog...with tutorials for some of the stuff that I make. I've never felt worthy of being able to do that because I'm pretty much just a copier... all my fun stuff that I've made is just someone else's awesome idea...I still feel that way, but at the same time, as my friend Jen pointed out, the people that follow this blog probably would like to see something other than headband after headband that I'm selling. So, while I am still selling my headbands here, I'm also going to start putting some tutorials on this blog of some of the things that I know how to make, that maybe you don't...

things like:

a denim quilt

seared baby clippies

a ruffled hooded towel

anyone have any requests, I'd be happy to do it, if I can!

I'm not a professional seamstress, and I don't know any fancy sewing words, but hopefully I'll be able to have something on here that you'd like to try to make yourself! And if I can freaking make it...you for sure can!

Fabric-wrapped Metal Headbands

I just bought a bunch of metal headbands (for those of you who do not enjoy the elastic headbands that wrap all the way around your head. I had a few requests from friends for these, so this is sample of what they look like...

This is a black fabric-wrapped headband with cream flowers...

same black fabric wrapped headband with maroon and gray flowers

same black fabric with mustard and gray flowers...isn't that mustard flower a gem!?! ahhh, somebody's sister is really lucky!

I'm also going to attempt my squished flowers that are on the fabric headbands on the metal headbands...Pictures coming!!!

Sorry I've been MIA! I've been getting ready for a little boutique that is being held May 1st in Costa Mesa at the Piecemakers Country Store. It's from 8AM - 3PM if anyone wants to stop by and shop!

Anyways, so I have a bunch of new fabrics and color combinations to choose from...and as soon as I'm done sewing the leaves onto the last couple dozen {when nap time allows} I'll post more pictures for you to choose from!

Here's a pic of Ivy finally sporting one...she doesn't so much enjoy having things on her head these days, but she kept this one on for a good half of the afternoon! yeah! They're great for little girlies, too!

...and here's one of my newer ones. I'm liking the black and white polka dot leaves a lot lately, so you'll see a lot of those in the next couple of posts!

If anyone is interested in any custom color combos I'd be happy to go shopping!
